New Delhi, April 16: Facebook faced a major embarrassment for personal data leak after which questions were also raised on its acquired chat app WhatsApp. Amid all the crisis and people's concern about their data privacy, the company has come up with a new feature that will increase the brand's liability to store personal user data more securely.

According to the WAbetainfo- a tech website that looks for all upcoming WhatsApp updates reports that the company has silently added a new feature that will allow users to download old media files in a chat even if they delete it from their local storage.

As of now, we can't download an image again from a chat if it is deleted from our smartphone storage. But after the new update, WhatsApp will save these media files in their servers for a much longer time allowing users to download it within 30 days. After 30 days users won't be able to get the media unless the sender sends it again.
