How to escape from WhatsApp blue tick mark

Headlines | March 13, 2018, 6:22 p.m.

New Delhi, March 13: WhatsApp has almost 1.2 billion users all over the world and 200 million monthly active users just in India. The Facebook-owned company keeps on updating the chat app to make it more reliable and user-friendly with new features. One of these features is blue tick feature that ensures that the person on the other side has read our sent message. But do you know this is optional on WhatsApp and you can turn it off so the sender won't be able to know if you have read his/her message.

But if you turn it off, it turns off for all and will not let you know if the person on the other side has read your messages or not.

So here's what you can do so that this feature doesn't switch off for yourself:

Step 1: Whenever you receive a message on WhatsApp, first you need to switch your smartphone to aeroplane mode.

Step 2: After switching to offline mode, open the WhatsApp and read the message.

Step 3: After reading close the app and make sure it is not open in the background and sync when you go online.

Step 4: After closing the chat app now switch off the aeroplane mode.
