New Delhi: This is a unique example of sheer negligence on part of the doctors in one of Delhi's premier hospital. A premature child, born in the 20th week of pregnancy, was sent home thinking he was dead.

The child was poorly developed and showed no signs of life. Thinking it is a stillborn child, the docs of Safdarjung hospital told the parents to take him.

As the parents were getting ready to bury him the child showed signs of life as it started kicking and wriggling.

When contacted the docs instead to being apologetic said that it was technically an abortion as the child had poorly developed organs and cannot survive.
