Cochin Shipyard Fire: 5 dead, 3 injured after explosion

New Delhi, Feb 13: A fire broke out on a ship under repair at the Cochin Shipyard Limited premises, killing at least five people. Eleven persons trapped inside the ship were evacuated and rushed to various hospitals in the city, the spokesperson said. Efforts are on to evacuate two more trapped in the ship. PTI reported that initial feedback is that there are three casualties, but other reports put the figure at five. The spokesperson told PTI that two more are trapped inside.
